BNHS-Infanta personnel pray hand in hand and make kite to show faith

Prayer is one way of our communication to  God in self-reflection and gratitude. This also serves as best armor in today's battle against pandemic COVID-19 to keep and deliver us in danger. But a man with faith without action is dead. So in order for us to be kept away from COVID-19, we need to make our body healthy. And upon making our body healthy is to spend time wisely together with our family. One activity that Madam SDS Shiela Marie Primicias suggests is teaching the kids on how to make a kite.

And letting the kite fly, you should bear faith.  Like what Deped Tayo SDO1 Pangasinan posted "'di mapapatid at 'di mapipigtas ang pisi gaano man katayog, gaano man kataas, gaano man kalakas ang hangin na sa iyo ay hahampas sapagkat hawak ka ng iyong Lumikha". This morale is more than hope, relieving stress, and maintaining a positive outlook in life we can get but it is a reminder for us that God will never leave us nor forsake us.

If faith can move mountains then let our faith and prayer move away COVID-19, for with God nothing is impossible.

Aksyong Pangkalinisan: Building a Pristine Environment

BNHS personnel showcased their skills in doing their own  broomsticks at home as a continuation and support of the advocacy of our SDS, Madam Shiela Marie Primicias.  Aside from saving some money because instead of buying it we can just DIY our own broomsticks at home, we can also learn to become crafty, productive, ecofriendly, and will have a perfect tool to clean our sorroundings to avoid noxious waste. This kind of activity also teaches our family to become responsible of our surroundings and our health, just like the broomsticks, work is easier if we do it together in unity. BNHS personnel believe that being resourceful and having a pristine environment will help us survive.

BNHS personnel make organic fertilizers

Plants need three things to survive and thrive: Potassium, Phosporus, and Nitrogen. While stores are closed where you can buy chemical fertilizers that typically have these nutrients, you can also provide them to your plants without the harsh chemicals by just making them yourself. Most of them can be made with things that you already have on hand, and will probably just throw out.

That's why the BNHS personnel made a great idea by making Home Made Organic Fertilizers while still in home quarantine.

The great thing about these fertilizers is you don't have to worry about your vegetables containing harmful chemicals. It also helps to protect your family and the environment- plus it saves you money!

The Philippines, as one of the developing countries faces many problems in its uncontrolled populations. These include providing jobs, shelter, clothing, and food security. The increasing conversion of agricultural land into residential/ commercial areas is considered a threat to food security thereby decreasing arable area that should have been intended for food production. Hunger continues to millions of people around the world.

The government through the Department of Agriculture is looking for solutions to solve food shortage, aquaponics is one of the possible solutions to the problem.

BNHS-INFANTA personnel enjoyed the experience in making aquaponics in their respective home. This is a combination of aquaculture which involves growing of fish and other aquatic animals and hydroponics which involves growing plants without soil.
