Modelo is new SSG President

The Supreme Student Government Officers and Adviser for the School Year 2019-2020


Grade 12-ICT student Joven N. Modelo claimed this school year’s presidency in the Supreme Student Government (SSG) election to lead the new set of officers.

“Youth leadership is essential because it plays a vital role in developing character of teenager and it helps us to establish a network which would later help in making positive changes in the community,” said Modelo, the unopposed standard bearer of the Leaders Empowering Advocacy on Development (LEAD) Party.

The newly elected officers are: Joven N. Modelo (President); Jaycel C. Lupague (Vice President); Jian Ralph H. Alqueza (Secretary); Rona Joy P. Bantiquete (Treasurer); Dianne C. Boniel (Auditor); Albert M. Mayo (Public Information Officer); Precious Abegail C. Vidal (Peace Officer); Kharl T. Cantil (Grade 7 Representative); Jeff Kedryk L. Asuncion (Grade 8 Representative); Errol John A. Melgar (Grade 9 Representative); Kyla Mae T. Mayo (Grade 10 Representative); Nathaniel N. Serapion (Grade 11 Representative); and Khing D. Mirador (Grade 12 Representative).

“This year’s set of SSG officers will try to leave a mark by implementing projects and activities that are anchored in the core values of the Department of Education, Maka-Diyos, Makatao, Maka-kalikasan, and Makabansa,” Ramir M. Mojeca, the SSG Adviser, proudly stated.

He added that immersing students in the world of leadership will really empower them and give them the gate pass to come up with solutions to problems.
